Jacksonville University Graduate Nursing Scholarships 
The following scholarships are available to graduate students pursuing a degree in the related fields of healthcare or nursing at Jacksonville University. 



Frances Bartlett Kinne DolphinNurse Alumni Scholarship

Approximate award: up to $1,500 for 2024-25
Eligibility Criteria:

  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Alumni Graduate or Doctor Nursing Student (MSN, DNP)
  • Exhibits positive thinking, strong character, and leadership in the nursing profession.

How to Apply: Students must complete the application linked here and submit an essay in 500 words or less to the Brooks Rehabilitation College of Healthcare Sciences, Keigwin School of Nursing Committee via this application stating what they hope to accomplish after having obtained their advanced degree and how they plan to commit to a lifetime of learning. The Scholarship Committee will present their top 3 candidates to the DolphiNurse Alumni Network Executive Committee, and they will make a blind selection from the top 3 candidates. The student selected is eligible to reapply through the same process each year.


Brooks Rehabilitation Nursing Excellence Scholarship
Approximate award: up to $10,000 for 2024-2025
Eligibility Criteria:

  • Students must be enrolled in the 12-month second-degree accelerated BSN program or a junior/senior in the traditional BSN nursing pre-licensure program.
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Candidate must be willing to complete the application and in-person interview with Nurse Leaders and Clinical staff at Brooks to receive this award.
  • This scholarship (if awarded and accepted after review) will be provided alongside an 18-month work commitment at the current market rate with Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital or Halifax CIR if awarded.

How to Apply: Students must complete the application linked here and submit a letter describing their career goals, personal characteristics, and how they align with the mission and vision of Brooks Rehabilitation. The letter should not exceed three pages and should be typed, double-spaced, and 12-point font. If the candidate is chosen to move forward, you will be selected for an in-person interview with the Nurse Leader and Clinical staff at Brooks to be further evaluated for the 18-month work commitment at Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital or Halifax CIR alongside this award.
